Since both the home and the school are interested in the welfare of the student, cooperation between these two entities will develop a better understanding on the part of each for the other’s perspectives, needs, and problems. To achieve this result, Parent-Teacher Associations have been founded.
Every parish associated with a Catholic school is required to have a PTA, which is a member of the Trenton Diocesan Council of Parent-Teacher Associations. It is recommended that teachers and parents meet several times per year for carefully prepared programs that describe and demonstrate practical methods for close collaboration between the home and the school. Pre-school parents are also welcomed members of the PTA.
We will ask for help on a volunteer basis at the initial PTA meeting.

All About Box Tops
Box Tops for Education has helped America's schools earn over $200 million since 1996. Your
school can earn up to $60,000 every year through Box Tops- that's as much as $20,000 from each
of these three easy ways to earn:
Clip Box Tops from your favorite products
Look for the 10¢ Box Tops coupon on hundreds of your favorite products. You can find Box Tops on brands such as Cheerios®, Betty Crocker®, Pillsbury®, Ziploc®, Kleenex®, Hefty® and more! If you have any Box Tops cut them out and drop them in the bin that is located outside the cafeteria. Please continue to collect those Box Tops throughout the school year!
Shop at your favorite online stores
At the Box Tops Marketplace, you can shop at over 60 online stores including JC Penney and Lands' End. A portion of every qualifying purchase is donated to your school - all at no additional cost to you!
To learn more about Box Tops visit their web site.
Food Funds Program
Did you know that if every family from Saint Leo the Great School participated in this program by purchasing at least
$200 worth of gift cards each month; we would earn a minimum of $36,000 for Saint Leo the Great School over the course of the year?
Everyone buys groceries therefore anyone can participate. It costs you nothing extra yet all of the
funds raised will help our students.
Determine how much you spend on groceries each month. The participating grocery stores are
ShopRite, Acme, Foodtown (Red Bank and Shrewsbury locations), and A&P. Place your secure order right on this web site. Gift
cards/certificates will be sent home via your son/daughter. Purchase your own groceries with the Food Funds gift card/certificates instead of cash.
It costs you nothing extra yet Saint Leo the Great School receives 5% from every check order and 2.5% for every credit card order.
This program is offered on a monthly basis. If you have any questions, please contact Cheryl Colannino(afcola@comcast.net or 732-542-1516.
Tyson Project A+
We are taking part in a national fundraising program sponsored by Tyson Foods, Inc. called Tyson Project A+. Through this program we can raise as much as $12,000 for our school this year. All we have to do to participate is clip and save the entire Project A+ label from participating Tyson products. Many of our children love those chicken nuggets. Each label we collect is worth .24 cents for our school. Just send them in as you do your Box Tops for Education. For a list of participating products please click here.
Target's Take Charge of Education Program
Once you enroll, use your Target Redcard to make purchases and Target will donate up to 1% of your REDcard purchases
to your chosen school. To lean more or enroll in this program click here.
Trash 4 Cash
Help your environment and our school by sending in your empty laser and inkjet cartridges from your home or business.
St. Leo's School will recycle this trash into cash ($2.00 per recyclable cartridge and $0.25 per non-recyclable cartridge).
