Dear Parents/Guardians,
Happy Sunday!
I hope you are enjoying your weekend and preparing for the Fall weather as it is slowly creeping up on us!
Last week we had a wonderful Induction ceremony for our newly appointed National Junior Honor Society Board and our 8th grade members. This new Chapter was established to allow us to recognize our students with outstanding academics. Eligibility was based on grades from the end of their 7th grade year. It was a special night for all members, and I know how proud we are of their accomplishments. There will be another Induction Ceremony in the Spring for 6th-8th graders whose eligibility will be based on this school years academics. We look forward to implementing this new tradition in the years to come. Congratulations to all those inducted on Thursday night!
On Friday, we had a school wide mass in recognition of Saint Francis of Assisi. Father John provided a lovely homily reminding us of our responsibility as Catholics to care and protect for all living (animals, people) and nonliving (Earth) things that God has provided for us to enjoy. Thank you to our Music Ministry for providing such engaging songs for our students to participate in singing. They truly enjoyed participating! Finally, I would like to recognize our new PTA Executive Board Members as they were officially inducted by the Diocesan representative. Congratulations to the following:
- President: Mrs. Stephanie Dotzler
- Vice President: Mrs. Maureen Doehner
- Treasurer: Mrs. Cassandra Meyer
- Secretary: Mrs. Jessica Smith
Thank you, ladies, for dedicating your time to these new roles and I look forward to working with you all for the next couple of years!
Our annual Blessing of the Animals event was held on Friday. It is always fun to watch all our furry family members be blessed. Thank you to all that participated in this beautiful recognition of God’s creatures.
This week we celebrate “Week of Respect”. A letter was sent last week with the daily happenings. I look forward to seeing some of you later in the week at our parent/teacher conferences. Please reach out to your child’s teacher if you were unable to sign up.
I hope you have a wonderful Sunday and a blessed week ahead.
Sincerely,
Caroline Fitzgerald, MA Eds.
