Dear Parents/Guardians,
Happy Sunday!
I hope you are having a wonderful weekend and are enjoying the extra hour as we turned back the clocks last night.
Last week we had our final day for parent/ teacher conferences. I hope that they went well and you obtained some great feedback from your discussions. If you have not met with a teacher and would still like to, please reach out to them directly to schedule one. Our Halloween celebration was a success with classroom and grade level parties and fun activities for our students to engage in. Thank you to our PTA for that you did to make this afternoon so much fun! Our parade was successful, in spite of the wind, and it is always a joy to see our students having fun and enjoying the benefits of being a kid! This week we officially enter into the month of November and we are only 24 days away before we break for our Thanksgiving weekend! On Wednesday, our 8th grade will be going to NYC to visit Saint Patrick’s Cathedral and to see the play “The Outsiders”. The students have completed reading this novel in class and we are excited for them to see a live performance of the book. Additionally, 8th grade only, will be able to dress as a “Soc or a Greaser” on Friday November 7th to finish the week out.
On Thursday, November 6th BNL Photographers will be in the building for anyone wishing to have a makeup school picture, or for anyone who may have been absent. Please make sure your homeroom teacher is aware should you need a retake. Finally on Friday, November 7th, the Father’s Club is having their annual Father Daughter Dance. I know what a special night this is for our fathers and their daughters. I wish you a fabulous evening dancing and connecting with your daughters and their friends.
