Dear Parents/Guardians,

We had a great second week at SLG. It was wonderful to see a large turnout for our Back to School Night, and I hope you enjoyed visiting with your child’s teachers for the upcoming school year. Additionally, our first school mass was well represented, and I loved hearing everyone singing and participating. Thank you to Mrs. Tommolino for working with the Student Council and Student Ambassadors for their Induction Ceremony. Our new Junior National Honor Society board members were also recognized, and we look forward to a formal induction ceremony in the next few weeks. So please stay tuned as we will inform you of this date as soon as it is determined.

As a reminder, on Tuesday, September 16^th at 8:00AM in the cafeteria there will be a High School Presentation for our 7^th and 8^th grade parents. This presentation provides all the ins and outs of the high school application process and what we here at SLG are doing for you and your students to make this next step as seamlessly as possible. Our 8^th graders have already had some high school representatives visit and they provided some great information to our students. The best part of these discussions is seeing our alumni return to present them. It is such a pleasure to witness their growth and development after they leave us and have moved on in their academic journey.

We will continue to keep you updated with important events as we move forward. This week we will send out a complete calendar with everything planned for the school year via instant alert. We will also send out monthly calendars in the event of any additions or changes. This too will be sent through our school messenger system. The goal is to limit the accessibility of providing important events in our school community to the public.
